It's Friday!! On to Day 20 of our Tea Advent Calendar. Today's tea is Indian Spiced Chai!
Indian Spiced Chai is a black tea blend with aniseed, cinnamon pieces, ginger pieces, whole black peppercorn, whole cloves and chicory roots.

A rich black tea, with exotic spices from India.
In 2000 Oscar was travelling in Kerala. He stopped to draw some fishing boats coming in and saw an old man making Chai (Indian word for tea). He couldn't get over the smells coming from the pot, a strong mix of exotic spices, he tried to identify the ingredients and noted down a crude recipe, years later it was dug out and formed the basis of this spiced tea, it truly is A traditional Indian Spiced Chai.
How We Like It
Brew 1 teaspoon (2.5g) per 200ml water. Or 1 Suki scoop per stump teapot. Infuse in freshly boiled water (98°C) for 3-5 minutes. Great with or without milk!
Perhaps you need something a little stronger celebrate the weekend…Brew a mug of Indian Spiced Chai. Then, add a big swig of Bailey's and a cinnamon stick for a festive flare. Enjoy whilst warm… ideally next to a cosy fire.
