Green Tea Spearmint

makes a lovely Cold Brew

One of our most popular green teas to serve hot, the green tea spearmint is actually equally as delicious enjoyed as a cold brew.  This Gunpowder based green tea combines the sweet, smokiness of gunpowder green tea and the fresh sweetness of spearmint leaves together creating a delicious, aromatic tea with many natural health benefits.

It is a deliciously refreshing tea to cool down with this Summer plus it's SO easy to make so def give it a go! This brewing method works best for high-quality teas that are naturally flavourful, perfect for our loose leaf tea serves this Summer.

What you'll need:

1 bag of Gunpowder Green Spearmint

Iced Tea jug

Cold water

Lime and mint leaves to garnish

Method:

Add 6 scoops of Gunpowder Green Tea Spearmint to a large Iced tea jug and fill to the top with cold water.

Leave in the fridge (temp should be less than 5oC) for 24 hours to steep.

Serve over a glass full of ice and garnish with a wedge of lime and some fresh mint leaves (add a squirt of syrup for some extra sweetness).

Don't forget we have a number of our existing range of teas that can be enjoyed cold as well as hot, plus we have two iced tea only infusions - Iced Apple Tea and Iced Raspberry & Vanilla for these all you need to do is add water and a couple of ice cubes! Fruit and alcohol extras are optional!

Iced Tea Method

For one Jug of Iced Tea - add 8g of loose leaf tea to the jug, gently pour 1 cup of hot water first onto the tea leaves, next add 3 cups of cold water, place in the fridge and let it brew, usually for 2 - 6 hours dependent on desired strength. Pour tea over ice cubes and Enjoy!

Cold Brew Method

It's so easy, give it a go this weekend!

Steep a few scoops of the tea in cold water for 24 hours in a fridge at less than 5oC. After that remove the steeped tea leaves from the jug and serve over fruit ice cubes! Enjoy any remaining cold brew tea for the next 24 hours!
