SUKI - Tea Makers

NEW Look. SAME Great Taste.

At Suki Tea, we have always believed quality is defined by what we source and what we deliver. We won’t settle for anything that is second best and this has been the driving force behind our vision since the very beginning. Our commitment to quality is reflected in responsible sourcing, great taste and delivering the very best customer experiences.

We are fiercely proud of what we have accomplished and as we embark on our 15th year in the industry, the knowledge and experiences we have gained so far are reflected into the new look and feel of SUKI TEA. So as we continue to dedicate ourselves to people, plant and planet, we move from Suki Tea to SUKI - Tea Makers after all, it takes a team of expert tea aficionados to do what we do.

SUKI Tea Makers

What to expect.

We’re excited to showcase our wonderful new design to the world. However, one of the biggest changes to our packaging is one you might not notice at all – we’ve gone plastic-free with an aim to be 100% plastic free by 2022.

A Plastic Planet LogoIt’s been a challenge but an important one that links closely to our core ethics and ethos.

Eco-friendly is the future, look out for new brand 100% plastic free bags, retail boxes and accessory packaging over the coming months. Favouring ethical supplier practices and operating in a more socially, economically and environmentally sustainable manner are the cornerstones of everything we do, so it was a natural next step for SUKI.

Oscar Woolley, Co-Founder shares his thoughts: "Annie & I started Suki Tea but it takes a team of dedicated tea aficionados to do what we do! Here’s to the SUKI TEAMAKERS, the hard work they put into this fab new look and their continued dedication to all things SUKI.

Keep an eye out over the next few months and expect to see our new look packaging popping up a lot! Be sure to share a pic with us - we can't wait to hear your thoughts!"

What a shame. My husband just bought me lots of suki tea bags for my birthday. I love the tea but am concerned about the micro plastics in the tea bags since a recent article on the BBC website. Are my tea bags made of plastic?

Hi Emilia! All our tea bag pyramids are plastic free! SUKI pyramids are made from paper, yarn and a special material called Soilon, meaning unlike some traditional teabags, our pyramid teabags are completely natural and plastic-free!

Made from corn starch, Soilon is a naturally derived product that is fully compostable so can be disposed of with food waste collections. Although it can be added to your home compost bin it won’t decompose just as quickly here so it’s best to add it to either council or commercial food waste collections, if you have them.

You can find out all about our packaging here: https://suki-tea.com/blog/plastic-free-tea-packaging/

      Thanks, Zoë
