Suki Tea supporting Focal Festival

Focal is a three day independent food, drink and music festival in Belfast

This Christmas we are excited to be at the 2nd Focal Festival, if you remember we had AMAZING Matcha slushies on offer at the Summer Focal Fesitval  well with the time of year we thought we'd have to go with hot cocktails this time round, plus of course all your favourite teas too!!

Join us this weekend at Focal Festival!  Festive Focal is a three-day open-air festival (with plenty of heaters and marquee coverage don’t worry!) which is focused upon showcasing the best that NI has to offer. Festive Focal will be unlike any other event in Belfast as we will have exclusively have LOCAL traders, LOCAL food, LOCAL drinks and LOCAL musicians on throughout the festival, by committing to this we aim to promote the local industry, economy and community spirit.

The festival, which will take place on Thursday 21st, Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd of December, and will feature acts such as Gareth Dunlop, Travis Is A Tourist, The Russian Dolls, Tuskany and Brien.

Doors open at 5pm on Thursday evening with a whole host of exciting local artists, from the ever-talented Mick McDowell, some Christmas Carolling to the outstanding Soul Traders, plus with Steve Job resurrected closing Thursday night with their unique take on the electronic scene it’s a night not to be missed.

Friday kicks off at 3pm with yet again an outstanding line up of local NI musicians, from Belfast band The Russian Dolls who are without doubt becoming one of the most sought after session bands around, Brass heavy musical sensation Fatlip and Nine Inch Nialls are also on the bill for Friday, with more to be announced. After you’ve enjoyed these unique covers, Belfast DJ Lathorpus will be taking to the stage with his mix of 80’s disco merged with modern house to close night two.

On Saturday, Focal Festival is showcasing the best of original, local talent, each act will be on stage playing their own scores. We kick off things at 3pm with the amazingly talented Nashville favourite Cora Kelly. We have Jamie Neish joining the line up, born and raised in Belfast, Jamie practiced music with many different projects. During that time the desire to make honest, acoustic music was a strong one. With strong melodies and moving lyrics, Jamie Neish is sure to intrigue and inspire this Festive Focal. Next on the stage we have one of Northern Ireland's most talked about young artists, Holywood born, Travis Is A Tourist, no stranger to our stage, Travis joins us again this year, ever popular with Northern Ireland millennials for his fictional fantasies and epic journey is something of a mystery. Belfast based indie/pop act Tuskany take to the stage, Tuskany have influences of funk, soul and pop in their music. Their sets include lots of punchy riffs and melodic synth lines. Also joining us this year for the first time is the well-known, exceptionally talented Gareth Dunlop, just back from touring with Duke Special this is an amazing chance to catch Gareth and his 4 piece band on home turf live this Christmas at Focal Festival.  Belfast’s hottest new DJ, Brien will close the Festival this year, if you haven’t heard about him or his work where have you been?! He’ll wrap up the festival displaying his own unique blend of disco and house, plus throwing in a few classic crowd pleasers!
