Fairtrade Fortnight commences in a few weeks on the 29th February, the national two-week event (29 February-13 March) will feature a Fairtrade breakfast in support of the farmers who grow the food we have every morning, such as coffee, tea, cocoa and bananas.
So this year it’s all about the BIG FAIRTRADE BREAKFAST. We, at Suki HQ, will be having a team breakfast on 3rd March, enjoying Belfast Brew and other tasty Fairtrade treats.
Why not join us on the day (3rd March) in getting behind Fairtrade Fortnight with a Big Suki Fairtrade Breakfast, getting as many people as possible to eat a Fairtrade Breakfast in your local community. Wherever you are, make it count! We've created this handy pack, meaning you can host your own Big Fairtrade Breakfast! At home, at work, at school, at yoga class, wherever! - it's simple with this kit!
Sit down for Breakfast, stand up for Farmers! This Kit includes, 50 x Belfast Brew Pyramids, takeaway cups & sleeves, as well as some Fairtrade Posters/Stickers to help promote your Breakfast. The people who grow the food we take for granted can’t always feed their own families. You can support these farmers and workers and help to put food on their tables by harnessing the power of a Fairtrade breakfast.
What qualifies as a Fairtrade Breakfast?
Each person at your Breakfast must consume one Fairtrade foodstuff and one Fairtrade beverage to qualify as part of the Big Fairtrade Breakfast. Visit www.fairtrade.org.uk/breakfast for materials/ideas, to register your event and make the breakfasts count towards Fairtrade Foundation’s Big Breakfast count.
