From 24th February to 8th March it is Fairtrade Fortnight. Fairtrade Fortnight is an annual campaign that fights for better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.

At Suki, our main concerns are our people, our plant and our planet. In order to ensure the people who work hard to grow, harvest and produce our tea get a fair wage, we are proudly part of the Fairtrade network.

In support of Fairtrade Fortnight we hosted our own SUKI Bake Off! The only rule was to incorporate at least 1 Fairtrade ingredient. Our judging panel had a selection of banana bread, fig rolls, caramel squares, salted caramel brownies, raspberry & white chocolate loaf, peanut butter brownies and banana & Ben & Jerry's caramel chew chew milkshake.

It was a tough decision with some very tasty recipes. After much deliberation the judged placed their winners:
1st- Annette's caramel squares
2nd- Grace's peanut butter brownies
3rd- Victoria's banana bread with chocolate chips
