Recently we have talked a lot about Fairtrade, that is because we are in the middle of Fairtrade Fornight.

At Suki, our main concerns are our people, our plant and our planet. In order to ensure the people who work hard to grow, harvest and produce our tea get a fair wage, we are proudly part of the Fairtrade network.

Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. If you want to find our more about Fairtrade, check out our blog post!

As part of our Fairtrade Fortnight we decided to celebrate by throwing a big Suki tea party. All the staff got their aprons on and got baking their favourite recipes. The only rule was that they included at least 1 Fairtrade ingredient.

This morning we all tucked into lots of delicious Fairtrade treats and enjoyed big mugs of Fairtrade tea, our Belfast Brew. Annie gave an insightful presentation about how Suki Tea supports the Fairtrade Foundation.  We all really enjoyed ourselves and ate far too much cake!!!
