We are delighted that our Spiced Pumpkin Pie & Rooibos have been awarded Gold Stars in the 2019 Great Taste Awards #GreatTasteAwards
At the great taste awards judging days, the judges are simply presented with the drink to blind taste and provide valuable feedback. Great Taste is simply about just that, taste, with many judges tasting and commenting on each product before a rating of 1, 2 or 3 stars are awarded. No packaging or smart marketing gimmicks buy brownie points here. To win the 1-Star represents a ‘simply delicious’ product, a 2-Star means that a minimum of 10 judges thought it ‘outstanding’, and 3-stars commends a product that is considered ‘totally exquisite and faultless’.
There were some amazing comments for two of our fab winning blends.
The judges said of our Spiced Pumpkin Pie, A golden infusion, rich and spicy on the nose- promising and enticing. We love the spice on the nose and this arrives on the palate quickly with a hit of warmth and a gorgeous blend of vanilla, spice, citrus and heat. A rounded mouthful of warming sweetness. Cloves and cinnamon, with hints of baked apples. Adventurous in flavour this wonderful herbal infusion takes you in an unexpected direction. Very moreish. 2* 2019
Of our Rooibos the judges said, A clear deep amber liquid with a classic rooibos aroma, a very pretty coloured tea with excellent clarity and sparkle.The flavour is a mild with a clean woody flavour. Light to taste with nutty and vanilla tones coming through - a pleasant enjoyable tea. Woody with a light smoke. 1* 2019
