About this Product

Oscar (our Chief Leaf) was travelling in Kerala. He stopped to draw some fishing boats coming in and saw an old man making an authentic Chai (Indian word for tea).

He couldn't get over the smells coming from the pot, a strong mix of exotic spices, of course he had to find out more, he headed straight over to the man to watch him create this fantastic brew, asking could he try some - it was the most amazing Chai he had ever tasted! 

He tried to identify the ingredients and noted down a crude recipe, years later it was dug out and formed the basis of this spiced chai tea, it truly is A traditional Indian spiced Chai.

Ingredients

Black tea, aniseed, cinnamon pieces, ginger pieces, whole black peppercorn, whole cloves, chicory roots, flavouring.

How We Like It

Brew 1 teaspoon (2.5g) per 200ml water. Or 1 Suki scoop per stump teapot. Infuse in freshly boiled water (98°C) for 3-5 minutes.
