We’ve been getting into the festive spirit (already) at Suki Tea HQ and are delighted to be able to drink Mint Choc Chai every day in the run up to the festivites!

With all the spiced flavour you would expect from a chai, harmoniously married with seriously rich cocoa beans, fresh peppermint leaf and citrus-y goodness, we know you'll love this delicious Winter warmer. This tea is great on its own, think sweet, chocolate-y, mint-y goodness in a cup, but why not give one of these exciting recipes a go!

THE ORIGINAL

Infuse one heaped teaspoon per cup of Mint Choc Chai in freshly boiled water and brew for 3-5 minutes. Sit back, relax and enjoy!

THE STEAMER

Place one heaped teaspoon of Mint Choc Chai into a tea sac or cup infuser and infuse in a small cup of freshly boiled water (roughly the same amount as a double espresso shot). Brew for up to 8 minutes. Steam some milk and combine with the brewed tea, serve with a cinnamon stick. A great way to warm up from the cold.

THE HOT TODDY

Christmas is the season to eat, drink and be merry so here’s a great recipe that adds a little kick to your tea this festive season. Enjoy as a post-dinner cocktail…or at any time of day really (that’s allowed at Christmas isn’t it??!)

What you'll need:

  • A generous scoop of Mint Choc Chai loose leaf tea
  • Irish Cream liqueur (we used Bailey’s)
  • 100ml milk
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp brown sugar (optional)

Method:

Infuse the Mint Choc Chai tea in half a cup of freshly drawn boiled water and brew for around ten minutes to create a strong concentrate. Add a generous shot of Irish cream liqueur and stir the mixture with a cinnamon stick until some of the flavour is infused. A teaspoon of brown sugar is optional at this point, depending on how sweet you like it. Transfer to a tall glass mug and top with 100ml of steamed milk. Top with the cinnamon stick and serve…. yum yum!

THE COLD BREW COCKTAIL

‘Tis the party season and who doesn’t love a festive cocktail?! Mint Choc Chai also works great as a cold cocktail with a nip of run to warm you up on the inside.

What you'll need:

  • A generous scoop of Mint Choc Chai loose leaf tea
  • Shot of white rum per person
  • Coke or fizzy orange

Method:

Infuse a generous scoop of Mint Choc Chai in a shot of white rum for 8-10 minutes. Pour the infused Rum into a glass of ice using a strainer to stop the tea leaves. Top with coke or your favourite fizzy orange (depending on your mixer of choice) and enjoy.
