Generally, iced tea made using the cold brew method is less bitter, if you find that you do want more flavor from your cold brewed iced tea than you initially get, simply increase the amount of loose leaf tea. This method is ideal for those of you that find green teas to be a bit bitter.
What you’ll need for this Iced Tea
1 pack Green Tea (you can experiment with the green teas here)
Berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
Honey to sweeten if desired
1 Iced Tea Jug (coming to our website soon!)
1 bag of Ice
Cold Brewing Method
Place 4 scoops of Green Tea (we used the plain Sencha) into an iced tea jug, fill up with cold water as you would do with hot water, making sure the tea leaves are soaked in water. Refrigerate overnight... this will allow your cold brewed green tea to be rich in taste & aroma. If like me you have a sweet tooth, try adding a squeeze of honey to help sweeten the tea.
To the Iced Tea Jug now add some berries of your choice, we used strawberries & blueberries this time, top with ice and enjoy! Easy!
