This year we are VERY EXCITED about the countdown to Christmas! December has finally arrived and we are SO ready to get Festive! Of course we love this time of year every year but 2018 there is that little bit of extra love as it is the first year that we launched our very own loose leaf tea advent calendar.
You guys loved them as much as us, the response we had was unbelievable and we appreciate every one of you! We hope that for each of you that got your hands on one, enjoy opening up a little box of tea and enjoying a cuppa everyday up to Christmas!

Anyway let's get on with opening the first box....
Ah of course, it's our festive favourite! Spiced Citrus.
A little cup of Christmas, this tea sums this holiday time up perfectly! Spiced Citrus Tea is like a fruity, spicy Chai, it is lightly spiced and works well with or without milk (or a nip of brandy as an alternative to mulled wine......drink tea responsibly!).
Use freshly drawn boiled water. Infuse one tea measure per pot and brew for 2-5 minutes.
Day 2 is... Belfast Brew
This Irish Breakfast Tea, a black tea and our Suki Tea signature blend - an everyday cuppa - We've blended two of the best quality whole leaf - 90% Assam for a Malty and full flavoured cup. If you have had a cup of Breakfast tea at a café in Northern Ireland that sells Suki Tea 9 times out of 10 it would be this one. A Northern Irish Staple #BelfastBrew
Best way to brew is to use freshly drawn boiled water. Infuse one tea measure per pot and brew for 2-5 minutes…add a splash of milk, enjoy!
Day 3 is... White Tea Elderflower
The elderflower is a lovely, floral, delicate flavour with a hint of champagne–y-ness class to it, paired beautifully with white tea this creates a warmly comforting herbaceous malty background note. We've made the most fabulous festive fizz, check it out here
We recommend that you use water cooled to 70-80 degrees, brew for 2-5 minutes.
Day 4 is... Partridge in a Pear Tree
Fully ripe bits of pear combined with apple and rosehip shells gives a smooth, sweet and delicate flavour, while the cinnamon, cloves and fig introduces some festive warmth to your cup. Sweet and soul- warming! Find out some more about it here
For this one, we suggest that you use all the tea in the day 4 box, pop it all into your infuser and brew for around 8 minutes.
Day 5 is... Apple Loves Mint
Apple Loves Mint fruit tea is inspired by a bag of sweets. A beautiful tea on the eye, complete with rose buds (so cute). This mint tea has Apple and playful papaya sweetness, a subtle hint of rose blossom, then mint finish. Caffeine Free & a well known favourite at Suki HQ!
We suggest that you let this one brew for a good 5 minutes to really let the flavours out.
Day 6 is... Green Tea Ginseng
This is a very light, very fresh, smooth, sweet green tea. A harmonious balance of ginseng, ginger and pineapple blended with Sencha green tea leaf. Green Tea with Ginseng is said to naturally boost energy, help with weight loss, lower blood sugar and cholesterol levels, all whilst reducing stress and promoting relaxation within, look after your well-being.
To brew up the perfect cup, let boiling water cool to roughly 70-80 degrees, then brew for 2-5 minutes.
Day 7 is... Mint Choc Chai
All the spiced flavour you would expect in a chai, harmoniously married with seriously rich, dark cocoa beans and fresh peppermint leaf.
Combine it with steamed milk and you will have the most delicious Christmas treat around! Another tempting treat is our easy to make 'Mint Choc Chai Truffles'.
This one needs freshly drawn boiling water. Just infuse one heaped tsp per cup and brew for 3-5 minutes... some of us like it with milk, others don't- it's your call!
Day 8 is... Pink Grapefruit
This caffeine free naturally flavoured fruit infusion is, tart and crisp tasting like freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. It offers something special with a harmonious blend of sharp grapefruit and sweet pineapple. Did we mention, it also makes a fabulous cocktail ? Perfect for the festive season...Check it out!
To make a pot of this beautiful tea, just infuse one tea measure per pot. Then brew for 4-5 minutes. Also fab as an Iced tea or cold brew tea, you can check out the blog post for a "How to" for Cold brew.
Day 9 is... Turkish Delight
This Suki chocolate & rose tea is inspired by the chocolate sweet Turkish delight. An attractive deep dark look of black tea and cocoa kernels, highlighted with bright red rose petals. This nostalgic flavoured black tea is the Turkish Delight of teas, indulgent and sumptuous! Turkish Delight is dangerously addictive, especially in tea form! Have you seen our 'Turkish Delight Cheesecake' recipe? We think this would make a the perfect dessert for after the Christmas feast!
For the best Turkish Delight tea, infuse one tea measure per pot and brew for 2-5 minutes…Some of us like it with milk, others don't, add milk for a creamy, chocolatey cuppa!
Day 10 is... Ayurvedic
Our Ayurvedic is a traditional Indian blend of spices. It 'stress free' and naturally caffeine free tea. The perfect way to unwind from the stress of the festivities! Ayurveda is an ancient holistic form of healing, this traditional blend is said to support the Vata Dosha, but truth be known we simply fell in love with its soothing taste, so much so we wanted to share it. Hannah is a big fan of our Ayurvedic... see what she has to say!
Infuse one tea measure per pot in freshly drawn boiled water and brew for 4 minutes… the longer you brew it, the sweeter it will get.
Day 11 is... Indian Spiced Chai
Indian Spiced Chai Tea is an Organic rich black tea, with exotic spices from India. A blend of tea & spices inspired by a recipe Oscar got on his travels - giving you a true taste of India.
Infuse for approximately 5 minutes in freshly boiled water. We also love this one in chai latte form- just add hot milk & honey. If you fancy something very festive, this cheeky, chai cocktail is the one! It's definitely recommended as a reward for completing all of the Christmas shopping and wrapping!
Day 12 is... Green Tea Lemon
The wonderful citrus aromas of this brewed green tea and tingling, fresh lemon peel complement one another perfectly. A tea base of a light Sencha Green Tea from China, lemon peel & natural lemon flavour. The tea has a refreshing aroma and flavour of real citrus lemon, with a delightfully sherberty sweet mouth feel lifted by the freshness of the lemon. Not too dry or too citrusy, a great all rounder! This is a zesty, refreshing green tea. It's a great cuppa to enjoy at anytime of the day! Green Tea Lemon will launch January 2019... so not too much longer to wait.
Brew 2-3g of green tea lemon with 200ml of water at a temperature between 75 and 80 degrees and leave to infuse for 3 to 4 minutes.

Day 13 is... Rooibos Vanilla
Rooibos or 'Redbush' Tea is grown in the western cape of South Africa. Redbush Tea is known for its medicinal qualities, we are not doctors so we decided that if you're going to drink this organic Rooibos Tea for health reasons it might as well taste as good as possible plus the added bonus of sweet vanilla?? It's a win win in our book!
Infuse one tea measure per pot or one heaped teaspoon per cup, use freshly boiled water 100ºC, brew 3-5 minutes. This also makes a delicious latte, a sweet treat without sugar!
Day 14 is... Oolong Orange Blossom
Lightly toasted, orange hints... like marmalade on toast!
The smooth flavour of beautifully twisted China Oolong combined with the delicate fragrant orange blossom, together produce a light and airy character with delicate citrus notes. Wow! Oolong tea is a traditional Chinese tea produced through a unique process including withering the plant under the strong sun and oxidation before curling and twisting.

Pop one tea measure in per pot, use freshly drawn boiled water, allow to cool to 70-80 degrees before brewing, brew for 2-5 minutes.
Day 15 is... Grey Lady
To celebrate international tea day we have popped a brand new tea into the advent calendar!
Grey Lady is a take on our favourite, Triple Certified Earl Grey Blue Flower. This new tea blend is a black tea with the same light and delicate taste of bergamot oil as Earl Grey, however where it differs is with the addition of a citrus from lemon and orange peel... Let us know what you thought!
Use freshly drawn boiled water. Infuse one tea measure per pot and brew for 2-5 minutes… great with or without milk!
Day 16 is... Peppermint Pyramids
Quite possibly the best peppermint tea in the world. Whole peppermint leaves, handled with care to retain freshness by not crushing the leaf, creating an incredibly fresh, purifying cup.
Sharp, fresh, aromatic, cooling with every sip.
Simply place one pyramid bag into cup & top with freshly boiled water, then allow to brew for 3-5 minutes. We find this peppermint tea to be an amazing addition to hot choc!! trust us! You won't look back!
Day 17 is... Breakfast Tea
A classic black tea! An everyday staple tea for most of us in the UK. Suki Tea Breakfast Tea is a full-bodied black tea, don’t be fooled by the name though, this is good all day long. Perfect to prepare you for a full day of Christmas shopping and equally a great reward from embracing the cold and completing all that shopping!
Use freshly drawn boiled water. Infuse one tea measure per pot and brew for 2-5 minutes…add a splash of milk, enjoy!
Day 18 is... Chamomile Pyramids
A herbal tea infusion of 100% pure Chamomile blossom. We use the whole heads of the flowers, this gives a cup that delivers much higher quality taste than dusty teabag, a sweet, honey-golden cup. Excellent for calming and soothing the mind and body and helping you to drift off into a peaceful sleep, to help you recharge the batteries for the busy few days ahead!
When using the pyramid tea bag, simply place one pyramid bag into cup & top with freshly boiled water, then allow the chamomile tea pyramid to brew for 2-5 minutes depending on your strength preference.
Day 19 is... Lemongrass & Ginger
This herbal infusion is citrusy and slightly spicy. This lovingly designed blend of herbs and spices has a balanced taste yet gives room to let each individual flavour stand proud. This caffeine free infusion is great first thing in the morning or after a meal. Lemongrass is the go-to for sorting out digestive problems, which makes it an ideal after all of that December indulgence.
Infuse one tea measure into a pot, always use freshly drawn boiled water and brew for 3-5 minutes…then enjoy this taste sensation!!
Day 20 is... Earl Grey Blue Flower
This tea is the ethical champion with Triple Certified status. Earl Grey is made by adding bergamot - a small citrus plant with an intense, fresh flavour - oil to black tea, giving it the unmistakable aroma. We source and use the best organic Sicilian bergamot oil available on the market. The addition of Blue Cornflowers makes this a visually stunning tea.
We used our Earl Grey Blue Flower to make a really delicious London Fog... it's so simple give it a go!
Day 21 is... Red Berry
this Red Berry fruit infusion is a punchy, full on infusion of mixed berries, fruit & hibiscus. Natural ingredients. Wow, a real fruit flavour from a tea, finally! Give our hot red berry negroni a go and get your sparkly dancing shoes on…. Sip away til your heart’s content!
Use freshly drawn boiled water. Infuse one tea measure per pot and brew for 3-6 minutes to your taste… we prefer to leave it for a good 4/5mins to allow the flavours out. If you find the Red Berry tea a little too tart, try adding a drop of honey or a spoonful of sugar to add some sweetness to your pot.
Day 22 is... Darjeeling
We thought you might fancy some baking before Christmas. Get a head start on your Christmas Day prep, this delicious ‘Darjeeling Chocolate Cake’ makes an amazing after Christmas feast dessert.

Day 23 is... Bramble
Another new tea!!!! Rumour has it that BRAMBLE is Santa’s new favourite tea

Day 24 is... Reindeer Food
The final day of tea has arrived! We are sad that it has all came to end but that only means that Santa comes tonight and tomorrow is Christmas Day!

Infuse one tea measure per pot or one heaped teaspoon per cup, use freshly boiled water 100ºC, brew 3-5 minutes. we always cover our tea while it’s infusing, this keeps all the heat in the cup whilst allowing the correct brewing time.
