Fancy something a little different with tea? Love the flavour of Turkish Delight chocolate but not quite sure about that middle jelly-ish bit?! Well we've cracked it with these Turkish Delight infused truffles...plus they are so easy to make and keep in the fridge for the weekend!
What you'll need:
- 150ml double cream
- 2 tbs of Turkish Delight
- 150g baking chocolate (chopped into small pieces)
- 80g cocoa powder
*Popping the loose-leaf tea into a tea-sac works well for this recipe as you want to keep the truffles as smooth as possible. If you do not have tea-sacs, do not fear! Just add the tea leaves directly to the cream and the strain out before adding the chocolate...
[gallery ids="3741,3742,3745"]- Place the cream in to a microwave-safe glass bowl or jug. Microwave for about 1 minute or just until the cream begins to boil. If using a tea sac, just fill it up with 1 tbs of Turkish delight tea and pop the tea directly into the cream, alternatively you can pop the tea directly into the cream and simply strain the leaves once heated. Steep for about 6 minutes before removing/ straining.
- Next you should repeat the above process, using 2 tbs of Turkish Delight to repeat the tea infusing process with new tea leaves - you want all the flavour coming through.
- Add the chocolate pieces, and stir well until melted and smooth (you can always pop the mixture back into the microwave, for a quick zap if the mixture has cooled down too much)
- Once combined, place the mixture into the fridge and chill until the mixture is thick enough to scoop (should take roughly, 2 hours).
- Remove from refrigerator, and allow to stand for about 20 minutes.
- Using a spoon, scoop the turkish delight tea infused choc/cream mixture out of the bowl and form into marble size balls.
- Roll the truffles in the cocoa powder and Ta-dah!!
Enjoy with your favourite person and a big cup of your favourite Suki Tea of course!
