With the arrival of November and the colder weather setting in, this month’s tea of the moment has come at the perfect time… We are re-introducing one of our fave Seasonal Teas . . . Mince Pie Blend.
Mince Pie is a full of flavour and just perfect for a cosy cuppa this winter. This tea has a beautiful black tea base, combined with sweet fig and orange for a fruity hint. Followed by a lightly spiced undertone of cinnamon and ginger, then finally a delicious creamy aftertaste that can only come from a warmed mince pie with a crumbly crust and fresh cream.
This black tea is another guilt free treat, offering up all the flavour with none of the calories – so you don’t have to feel guilty when you indulge in a mince pie too!!
As the name alludes to this brand new tea naturally pairs with a warm mince pie.
Tasting Notes: Warming, Fig, Spiced
How we like it:
For the best cup of Mince Pie use 200ml of freshly drawn boiled water (98°C) and infuse one heaped teaspoon (2.5g) of Mince Pie tea per cup. Brew for 3-5 minutes. Then the choice is yours.. either enjoy freshly brewed or add a splash of milk/milk alternatives for a sweet creamy cuppa.
Why not try it with a twist?
You can also try with a hint of honey for a little sweetness, this makes a delicious Christmas treat!
Of course we are going to have to experiment with a few recipes using this tea as a starting point… keep an eye here and on our social channels for what we get up to! If you have any recipe suggestions let us know in the comments!
