HALLOWEEN COLLECTION Take me there

SUKI >< OXFAM

SUKI >< OXFAM

My father knew the Lebong Cart Road in Darjeeling, the monsoon season, cardamom pods flaking in the heat, the sweet grass smell of the tea plantations. In Darjeeling, the soil is sandstone which shifts and shudders during earthquakes, the grass is lush.

As Director of Story at Suki Tea, I am always thinking about how tea is actually a carrier for ‘story’, a sort of liquid container of all the things SUKI founders Oscar and Annie hold dear to their hearts: friendship, compassion, responsibility towards the environment and sustaining a future through the care they have put in, over the years, to support and nurture a community of tea growers, makers and drinkers across the globe.

It is a great honour to announce Oxfam’s new partnership with SUKI, whose stores will now stock three kinds of Suki Tea: Fairtrade Breakfast Tea, Fairtrade Earl Grey Blue Flower, and a new seasonal tea Fairtrade Mince Pie – All in biodegradable pyramid x 15’s and 100% plastic free packaging.

SUKI and Oxfam are a perfect match: both have a long-standing commitment to Fairtrade, its ethically sourced and responsibly produced products, and we are delighted to work on this partnership which will not only mark a milestone in the history of our Belfast-based tea-making, artisanal business, but also further establish Suki as a household brand.

Co-founder of SUKI, Oscar Woolley is proud to embark on a new tea journey with Oxfam: “Our collaboration with Oxfam is rather personal for me and a very exciting venture for Suki Tea. As someone who grew up frequenting Oxfam for vintage clothes, vinyl and books I’ve always admired their mission. Now, the SUKI team is proud to align our values of sustainability and ethical practices with theirs”
